Hi, my name is Nastya and I live in the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic. In 2014 my husband and I decided to completely uproot, get rid of our apartment, sell our belongings, pack the rest in boxes and quit our jobs to go for a 2-year 25, 000 km long journey cycling from Prague to Athens and hitchhiking further to Asia and back across Russia and Central Asia. This sabbatical has changed us forever.

Why did we do it?

We had busy office lives with 12h working days, so we only saw each other only for a couple of hours before heading to bed. That was not the life we had imagined. We wanted to use our time wisely, spending time together, see the world without rushing, learn from people, connect with locals everywhere and help them by volunteering. We deliberately adopted a very simple lifestyle to learn more about ourselves and understand what we really want from life, to slow down and disconnect in order to reconnect with life. Without the break, I would not have gotten even closer to my husband and my family, met so many inspiring people, learned amazing traditional cooking and therapeutic techniques from all over the world.

I became passionate about yoga and meditation now back in Prague and now I am a certified registered yoga teacher. I had the privilege to take part in a 10-day Vipassana meditation silent retreat in India, meet a number of inspiring yoga practitioners and ayurvedic specialists who encouraged me to establish a daily Ashtanga vinyasa practice. I am greatly inspired by my teachers who follow and transfer teachings of Guruji Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, TKV Desikachar, B.K.S. Iyengar, Vipassana teacher S.N. Goenka, Dalai Lama and as well as tibetan buddhist masters.
Since 2015 I have been committed to daily practice of Ashtanga vinyasa in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. I apply practices of Hatha Yoga – kriyas (cleansing techniques), asana, breath awareness, pranayama, visualization, mantras and meditation. The practice has integrated into my personality, opened my mind and my heart.

I would like to share my knowledge through teaching essential yoga, meditation and breathing techniques, giving holistic nutrition tips that can be integrated into everyone’s life to reduce stress, to improve health and to achieve a better quality of life.
